Speak up in the Religions Forum

Faith and Spirituality is the fundamental part of all of our religious and philosophical systems. It is the core of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and all other religions. It is also at the core of every thought system that we as humans have ever created: modern physics, communism, atheism, and humanitarianism. This is because we, as humans, all are created with the same needs and desires. So, spirituality is concerned with our deepest and most important desires for happiness, peace, and a bit of fun. |

| The
world's major religions cut across national borders to unite people who
share a common set of beliefs. Worldwide, more the 1.8 billion
people follow some form of Christianity. There are more that one
billion followers of Islam, and nearly that many Hindus. Judaism
has 18 million adherents, and Buddhism has more than 750 million
followers.
In America, most of the population are Christians, following either Roman Catholic or various Protestant beliefs. Judaism is the second most common faith. Islam ranks a close third, and is growing rapidly. All of the other major religions have smaller numbers practicing here. What we are trying to do here is touch on at least every major religion in the world. We feel everyone should have an basic understanding of others beliefs, in order to understand their own. People often feel deeply about their beliefs, and that can lead to conflict. Today most of the major religions teach and practice tolerance toward other beliefs. In World Faith, we have set up a forum for the discussion of world religions, please have respect for your fellow man. Please send us your comments and suggestions for this channel to beliefs@siteforteens.com. |
